From the Willamette Week, October 15, 2008

Senate District 25: Laurie Monnes Anderson
"A nurse, Monnes Anderson has worked on everything from expanding the state’s prescription drug program to TriMet safety to gang-prevention programs. She chairs the Senate’s Health Policy Committee, which covers healthcare-related bills...she brings industry-specific knowledge to one of the Legislature’s key areas of focus. And her legislative experience means she can do more for her constituents than Kim."
From The Gresham Outlook, October 7, 2008

Rebuild clout in the Legislature
"We think highly of Monnes Anderson’s opponent, Dave Kim, but this is nonetheless the easiest of the three legislative recommendations. Without the 62-year-old Monnes Anderson in the Legislature, the Gresham area will be left with virtually no legislative power at all...Voters should re-elect Monnes Anderson."
From The Oregonian, October 6, 2008
"District 25: Monnes Anderson, the only nurse in the Legislature, should stay there. Her insight and strong advocacy on health care issues is needed now more than ever. During her years in the Oregon House, she built an impressive record in that arena and continued it in the Senate last year with such legislation as the expanded state prescription drug program."
